How to Become a Pickup Artist

Have you seen the VH1 reality TV show The Pickup Artist or read Neil Strauss’ book The Game? If you have, you’re probably familiar with pickup artists — guys who dedicate themselves to becoming amazingly good with women, so they can pick them up anywhere, whether it’s in a bar or a nightclub, or at your local grocery store.

You’re probably wondering, though, how can I can become a pickup artist? If you’ve looked around the Internet at all, you’ll find that there are dozens, if not hundreds of companies that claim that they can teach you the secrets to becoming a PUA. It can be confusing and downright intimidating for anyone that’s starting to get into it. That’s why I’ve written this article, to help guys like you get started on the amazing journey to becoming a pickup artist, and having choice when it comes to women. I’ve broken the process for becoming a PUA into 6 easy steps, so you can easily follow along.

Step 1 – Define Your Goals. What do you hope to achieve by becoming a PUA? Is it to find a girlfriend, or win an ex back? Or do you just want to play the field for a while, and have a string of one night stands? It’s difficult to achieve your goal if you don’t know what it is. Start by clearly defining what you want, and envision yourself attaining that goal. This will give you the motivation that you need to succeed.

Step 2 – Find a Method That Resonates With You. There are dozens of different pickup companies out there these days, which can be confusing, but it’s also a good thing, because it means you can pick a company that resonates with you. Take the time to check out the different companies that are out there, and find one that you feel matches with your personality and experiences.

Step 3 – Get Some Coaching. The best way to get great at anything, whether it’s learning to play the piano or getting good with women, is to have the guidance and coaching of people who are better than you. Once you’ve found a company that you like, sign up for some personal, one-on-one coaches. If the coaches are any good, they will be able to help break down your sticking points and weaknesses, and help you to come up with a plan for getting your game on.

Step 4 – Practice. Consistency is the key to success in every area of life, and becoming a pickup artist is no different. Once you’ve had some coaching and have a taste for how to proceed, the next step is to actually go out there and practice what you’ve learned. The more you practice, the better you will become.

Step 5 – Find Some Wings. The best way to ensure that you go out and practice regularly is to find other guys who are also interested in getting better with women. Think of them as your workout buddies, who go out with you and help you to approach women and build you up when you’re down. Building a positive support network is probably one of the best things you can do to improve your success.

Step 6 – Have Fun! Going out to meet women can be stressful at times, but ultimately, it should be fun! Go out and practice all the new things you’ve learned, but always remember to have fun along the way! Have fun and tease the girls you’re out with, and have a great time with all your wings. Before you know it, your social skills and confidence will have skyrocketed, and you will be well on your way to becoming a pickup artist!
